Статтю присвячено дослідженню можливостей використання результатів опитувань щодо ділових очікувань підприємств, яке проводить Національний банк України, для короткострокового прогнозування економічного розвитку, зокрема ВВП України. Розглядаються різні методи побудови випереджаючого індикатора економічного розвитку, їх переваги та обмеження. Вибір найкращого показника, який забезпечує вищу точність прогнозів ВВП, здійснюється з використанням економетричних моделей.
